The cell and biomarker preservation collection are invented for stabilization of blood biomolecules. BD designed specialist blood collection tubes to provide safe, standardized collection to help reduce preanalytical errors.

The range of blood collection tubes consists of six different products, available in several sizes.

• BD Vacutainer® CPT™ Mononuclear Cell Preparation Tube: integrated Ficoll™ gradient and gel barrier enables fast and reproducible isolation and stabilization of Monocytes and Lymphocytes. Available in Heparin 8 ml, Citrate 4 / 8 ml. For In Vitro Diagnostic Use.
• BD Vacutainer® PPT™ Plasma Preparation Tube: an undiluted plasma preparation tube for viral testing. Available in 5 and 8.5 ml. For In Vitro Diagnostic Use.
• BD™ P100 Blood Collection System: protease inhibitors and mechanical separator enable optimal blood plasma protein stabilization. Available in 2 and 8.5 ml. For research use only.
• BD™ P800 Blood Collection System: a protease inhibitor mixture stabilizes GLP-1, glucagon, OXM & GIP for diabetes and obesity research. Available in 2 and 8.5 ml. For research use only.
• PAXgene® Blood RNA Tube: immediate stabilization of intracellular RNA. Available in 2.5 ml. For In Vitro Diagnostic Use.
